Alta Labs 48 Port PoE+ Enterprise Switch

The Alta Labs S48-APoE is a high-performance, enterprise-grade 48-port PoE+ switch engineered for environments that demand maximum power delivery, high-speed connectivity, and centralised management at scale. Purpose-built for enterprise, hospitality, education, Pro AV, MDU, and high-density commercial deployments, the S48-APoE delivers full PoE+ on all 48 ports with a substantial 740W PoE budget, providing exceptional flexibility for powering access points, cameras, phones, displays, and IoT devices.

The switch features a mixed-speed access layer comprising 32 × 1GbE ports and 16 × 2.5GbE ports, ideal for modern Wi-Fi 6/6E access points and bandwidth-intensive edge devices. Four 10Gbps SFP+ uplinks support high-capacity fibre or copper aggregation, ensuring resilient and future-ready connectivity to core or distribution layers.

Deployment and ongoing operations are streamlined through Bluetooth-based onboarding and the Alta cloud management platform, delivering intuitive control across single or multi-site networks. Advanced enterprise features including VLANs, VLAN stacking (Q-in-Q), ingress and egress rate limiting, IGMP snooping, 802.1X authentication, and network loop detection provide the controls required for secure, segmented, and high-performance networks.

Designed for professional installations, the S48-APoE supports rack or wall mounting, includes Rackstud™ DUO toolless rack hardware, and utilises active cooling to maintain stability under sustained full-PoE loads. As part of the broader Alta Labs ecosystem, the S48-APoE integrates seamlessly with Alta access points and gateways to deliver a unified, centrally managed network architecture.
