The Alta Labs AP6W is a sleek, compact WiFi 6 wall-mount access point designed for high-density guest and room-based deployments where aesthetics, performance, and control matter. Ideal for hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment venues, MDUs, and modern commercial spaces, the AP6W delivers reliable wireless coverage in a form factor that integrates neatly into walls or junction boxes for a clean, professional finish.

Built on a 4-stream WiFi 6 (802.11ax) platform, the AP6W supports fast, efficient connectivity for up to 250+ concurrent clients and delivers combined wireless capacity of up to 2.4 Gbps on 5 GHz plus 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (client and RF conditions permitting). It supports seamless roaming standards 802.11r/k/v, helping users move between rooms and shared areas without disruptive dropouts.

Deployment is streamlined with Bluetooth onboarding via the Alta Networks mobile app, while ongoing management is handled through the Alta cloud management platform, enabling multi-site visibility, configuration changes without downtime, and intuitive troubleshooting through dashboards and status snapshots. The AP6W also includes advanced feature sets for hospitality-style access control, including AltaPass™ multi-password technology, which allows multiple passwords on a single SSID to automatically apply different access policies (such as VLAN assignment, rate limits, schedule exceptions, or bypass rules).

For stronger governance and user experience, the AP6W supports a built-in DPI filtering engine, hotspot/captive portal functionality, and flexible SSID broadcasting schedules that maintain the SSID during scheduled downtime to enable controlled “extended access” requests. It supports PoE power (802.3af/at) with multi-direction PoE input (rear or bottom) and includes PoE pass-through, plus an optional 12V DC power option where PoE is not available—making it highly adaptable for retrofit and new-build scenarios.
