The Alta Labs Local Hardware Network Controller is an on-premises network management appliance designed for organisations that require local control, enhanced security, and independence from cloud-only architectures. Purpose-built to manage up to 1,000 Alta Labs devices, this controller delivers enterprise-grade visibility and control across single or multi-site deployments, making it ideal for education, hospitality, healthcare, government, and security-conscious commercial environments.

Operating locally within your network, the controller provides a resilient management platform with backup and restore, reverse proxy HTTP support, and port forwarding, ensuring continuity even when internet connectivity is unavailable. It integrates seamlessly with the Alta Networks mobile app and web interface, enabling fast deployment, intuitive management, and real-time operational insight.

The platform supports advanced management features including customisable dashboards, device cards, wireless network colour coding, and status snapshots, allowing administrators to quickly assess network health and performance. When paired with Alta Labs access points, the controller unlocks enhanced functionality such as AltaPass™ multi-password authentication, hotspot services, advanced DPI-based filtering, and flexible SSID broadcasting schedules.

Compact, energy-efficient, and simple to deploy via PoE+ or USB power, the Alta Labs Local Hardware Network Controller provides a secure and scalable alternative to cloud-hosted controllers, while maintaining feature parity and operational flexibility.
